Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP)

Cured-in-Place-Pipe Lining (CIPP) is an innovative trenchless method of sewer lateral repair and replacement that has revolutionized the industry. With its ability to repair pipes without extensive digging, it provides a cost-effective solution for both residential and commercial properties. The beauty of CIPP lies in its efficiency, as it requires significantly less time to complete compared to traditional sewer repair methods. This not only minimizes disruption to daily life but also reduces the overall project timeline. Furthermore, CIPP is versatile and suitable for repairing both short and long runs of pipes, making it an ideal choice for various applications. Whether it's a minor repair or a major overhaul, CIPP offers the convenience of not needing to upsize the existing pipes, saving our customers time and money without compromising on quality. At KC Plumbing and Rooter, we pride ourselves on our expertise in sewer liners, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of service for their underground repair needs.

CIPP sewer liners revolve around the process of inserting a flexible sleeve (think tube sock) into the deteriorated pipe system. Once the liner is in place, it is inflated and exposed to an adequate amount of heat or ultraviolet light, prompting the drying and hardening process within the pipeline. As this innovative solution takes effect, it effectively creates a pristine, uninterrupted inner surface that mirrors the characteristics of a newly installed pipeline. With CIPP, the drainage infrastructure is given a new lease on life, and the issues of old and damaged pipes become a thing of the past. This cutting-edge technique serves as a testament to modern advancements in the plumbing field, showcasing the ingenuity and capability of industry professionals like ours at KC Plumbing and Rooter.

Pipe Burst Replace
(sewer or water)

Pipe bursting is a highly effective method for replacing existing pipes with new ones. This innovative technique involves the use of a conical bursting tool, which facilitates the opening and forceful outward movement of the old pipe(burst). This expansion head is pulled through the existing pipeline, often employing a hydraulic and pulley system. As the expansion head progresses through the old pipe, it exerts radial pressure, causing the pipe to break apart and create a void that accommodates the new pipeline.
In addition to breaking apart the old pipe, the bursting device advances the new pipeline, ensuring its seamless placement within the void left by the burst pipe. This simultaneous action not only expedites the replacement process but also guarantees that the new pipe promptly takes the place of its predecessor.
Pipe bursting is a versatile technique that can be employed for various scenarios. Whether the replacement pipe needs to be of the same size or larger, this method can effortlessly accommodate both requirements.

Epoxy Brush Coating

One effective method to extend the longevity of a pipe is through the application of epoxy brush coating. To ensure optimal results, it is crucial to meticulously clean the pipe beforehand. Afterwards, apply one or two coats of the resin, with each coat measuring approximately 0.5-1mm in thickness. This process will yield a smooth, slick inner surface within the pipe, facilitating an enhanced flow and minimizing the potential for blockages. After this process is complete, it will have created a brand-new semi structural pipe. By skillfully applying multiple coats of the resin, a seamless replacement pipe with a wall thickness ranging from 2-4mm, depending on the drain's diameter, can be formed. When adhering to the Semi Structural Design Specifications based on the pipe's diameter, this technique can potentially extend the pipe's lifespan for an estimated period of 30-50 years.
